Michael Nyman is one of Britain's most innovative and celebrated composers and performers, perhaps best known for his award-winning film score for The Piano, written and directed by Jane Campion.

For more than 30 years his ensemble, The Michael Nyman Band, has been a laboratory for much of MN's inventive and experimental music, notably scores for a dozen Peter Greenaway films. The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover, starring Helen Mirren and Michael Gambon, is a particular favourite.

In 2010 The MN Band will be performing in Barcelona and Madrid. Later in the year they will be in Glasgow and at The Barbican in London.
